6 For 6 : THE WORLD OF RALLY.
It's a little bit dirtier than the your average motorsport ;)
Rally is raced on closed-off public roads, one car at a time, they run in any conditions, against the clock and in just about every country in the world. It's a fuckin bonkers sport and anyone that can go over 100mph slamming through dirt and dodging trees and other human beings is a wackjob in my book (Compliment)
The difference between Rally and any other Motorsport is that there is a Co-Driver. They have pace notes preparing the driver for turns, the co-driver tells the driver about the turns coming up, as well as the lengths of straights, any crests, surface changes, jumps.
Direct translation: There's the savage driving the car and then next to them is the director of madness guiding him through every corner letting them know what is next, one wrong instruction and it's game over.
To keep it simple, this sport requires intense focus and skill. Sometimes these Rally's last days, the cars get absolutely butchered, drivers shit their pants regularly and cars fly off cliffs.
In all seriousness I have so much respect for these people because I see the beauty in the madness. The precision and mental focus to be able to do what they do all while having to trust the person next to them with their lives. This sport has everything you can think of and I don't really understand why it's not as popular as other motorsports.
